Welcome to the modern mystic, a blog devoted to what is commonly thought of as inner, spiritual explorations of oneself. This poses a bit of a quandry in that the very existence of this blog means we have travelled outside of ourselves to connect with the world. Perhaps this is where the "modern" comes in. Maybe true mysticism is sinking to some lone corners of the world, and all that we can hope for in the city is a kind of mysticism that is both inner and outer. So, our journeys will proceed from here. This is an initial external moment: greeting you to our conversation which hopefully will allow the inner to develop. Comments are welcome.
